We are proud to announce our newest Australian Champion- Ch Orical Fine Wine (AI).
Maverick is from our pairing of Gr Ch Orical New Beginnings (Primrose) and imported frozen semen from Shacal Mihkku of TabanyaRuu (born in Finland, frozen semen imported from the UK). His pedigree can be viewed on the Breed Archives.
Maverick was a long awaited furry addition to the family for Canbera based couple Chris Payne and Brienne Cannon. They lovingly followed the litters growth week by week and were thrilled to welcome Maverick into their family. They trained in Obedience and were regulars on the ACT Lappie social scene. When Maverick was around 7 months of age, knowing Chris and Brie were interested in giving showing a go, we gave them the nod for Maverick to try his paw in the show ring.
Since this time, Chris, Brie and Mav have fallen in love with showing, and have been such a beautiful and supportive part of the team Orical showing team. We have enjoyed so many adventures away with them for shows and fun.

Chris and Brie have been incredibly dedicated, and have travelled to the NSW breed specialty in 2023 and 2024, the Victorian breed specialty and associated shows in 2023, the Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2024.
In a sign of true Lappie addiction, they have also 'borrowed' our Ruska, and Saffron, campaigning them and giving them valuable show and life experience, and greatly contributing to their Australian Championship titles.
Chris and Bri also contribute greatly to the breed community, both holding positions on the Finnish Lapphund Club of NSW committee.
